A lesser known film in Disney's library, the Great Mouse Detective is a fun take on Sherlock Holmes tales. The standout performance is of course the late, great Vincent Price, in one of his final film roles as the despicable Professor Ratigan, the foil to the heroic detective Basil of Baker Street. This movie is exciting and full of twists and turns. It's a bit darker and one on the adult side for Disney movies, with a few implied violent deaths and a lot of alcohol consumption by various characters. However, I still think it is one of the best movies Disney ever made.
