I watched this on On Demand last night and I am completely surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I was expecting something raunchy and distasteful, but it was actually quite enjoyable. Diane Keaton's storyline was my favorite and to be honest I didn't really care about the other three. The acting was okay but Mary Steenbergen/Craig T Nelson's storyline kind of got on my nerves. I did a double take when I saw Andy Garcia as Diane Keaton's love interest pilot and Don Johnson as Jane Fonda's love interest as they both looked so different (older...). It was a nice surprise seeing Alicia Silverstone as Diane Keaton's overprotective daughter and the scenes of Arizona were just breathtaking. Contrary to what I expected, "Fifty Shades" didn't really play a major role in this movie and you can watch it without any knowledge of the book, although they do mention a few scenes here and there so if you've read the first book in particular, you may get a few laughs out of their comments about it. Very surprising movie and in fact I may watch it a second time. It's not the best movie I've ever seen, but it was a nice surprise.

I never got to see the ending. The DVD needs to be replaced or fixed as it stops before the end and it is at a really good scene. I tried several times at it repeated the same action.

Reminds me of It's Complicated but with some small changes. It shows that a woman's life doesn't end at 60 or when her kids grow up. It brought some personal memories back and laughs. It's definitely a woman's film for those over 45 because younger may not understand the comedy aspects.

These legend actors made me laugh, cheer, and they are good female role models.

Interesting to see so many dislikes for this movie , seems like a wee bit of fun for all the cast, this caught my eye at the VPL because i swear I had recently seen a Diane Keaton look a like at The Railway Club on Seymour and Dunsmuir and naturally wondered how time has treated all the cast members .

I am not a person who usually likes a romantic comedy. Because I am 70, I could relate to the women in the film who are attempting to make peace with a lack of romance or sex. I think the film was a little unrealistic, but it was fun to see older women risking love one more time. These women were in some of my all time favorite movies: Diane Keaton in "Annie Hall", Jane Fonda in "Klute", and Candice Bergen in "The Group". I was surprised that I enjoyed the movie as much as I did. Kristi & Abby Tabby

I knew before I even saw this film, that it was going to be mediocre. I watched it mainly for Andy Garcia and Don Johnson. Hadn't seen Don in anything in years and Andy is always good. The script was pretty terrible. Lots of talent wasted. Jane Fonda is scary thin in this. I agree with the person here who says she doesn't look like herself anymore.

If you're expecting and actual "Book Club" you will be disappointed. It's a cute movie, mid-life, over the hill, past regrets and love life then and now through the thoughts of "Fifty Shades of Gray". Good for few laughs.

Emotional connection is highly overrated.
