While the first three seasons of Enterprise struggled to gain the support of fans due to continuity and story recycling issues, season 4 stood out as one of the best seasons of any Star Trek show. Manny Coto taking the reigns of the show really helped it. Sadly, by then it was too late to save the show and the franchise. Season 4 isn't one large story arc, and it isn't an episodic season where each episode stands as its own story. The arcs in this season are 3 to 4 episodes long and it works perfectly. This season also managed to bring something new to the table, which was answering questions fans have had for decades. "Why do the Klingons in The Original Series look different than the Klingons from Star Trek: The Movie and onward?", "What would happen if the pre-federation Vulcans got into a political and military skirmish with Starfleet?", "How long were the Romulans aware of Earth and how long had they planned on infiltrating and conquering Vulcan?", "Were there other Khan type augmented humans out there?", "Had prejudice and xenophobia mostly been eradicated on Earth immediately before the formation of the federation?". We even get two extremely dark episodes that take place entirely in the alternate mirror universe. The only bad episode of the season is the finale, which takes place during The Next Generation, and it's only for (not spoiling) its use of a very unpopular Trek 'ending' cliche. Even if you skip season's 1- 3, season 4 is a must for any Trek fan.

I am a life long Star Trek fan. I saw the original back in the 70's. Enterprise reminds me of the original. "Cowboys in space" The other series were decent in their own right.

What a hot mess! They totally miscast Scott Bakula as the captain. The series finale with William Riker & Deanna Troi from star trek the next generation created nerd outrage & ill-will toward Paramount Pictures. Even some of the stars admitted shabby ending. However, fans have historical love/hate relationship on Paramount Pictures suits milking the franchise to save the company from bankruptcy. Not recommended.

Great show, loved how the broke it down to basics and was all pre-shields and the whole birth of the federation. But as a avid Star Trek fan I loved the mirror universe episodes the best. I did feel their was a sort of rush to sew some of the cannon things like why Klingon's had softer ridges in the original Kirk and Spock series and stuff like that but what can you do when you have a production company shutting you down? You make lemons outta lemonade and they did a good job with that and this show. I recommend if you like Star Trek, give the whole series a try.

I thougt the first star trek ever made was borning because of suck technolgy but enterprise is the worst of them all! it seem like an old west movie meet the future i hate the captain he is the worst captain ever!! his attitude is too much like the close minded pass.. and the music sucks.
