An emotional journey through the fall-out following a struggling writer's decision to plagerize another man's work. Definitely a story within a story kind of plot. Co-stars Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Irons and Dennis Quaid.

A story written by two of Bradley Coopers Jewish childhood friends, per the special features. Took many years to get on film. Intersting story of a man played by three different actors at various stages of life.. Jeremy Irons was great.

This movie was going so well until the introduction of Olivia Wilde's character. That woman is stuck in a rut playing the same character over and over again in every film, the minute I saw her I guessed what she was up to and I was right…

I've seen this movie at least twice, and I still can't recall, after a few weeks, what the ending is. Some interesting points about plagiarism, but nothing major.
A beautifully layered story with a great twist at the end - loved it. The actors did a wonderful job, bravo!

Above average romantic drama. Different storyline than I expected. Kind of slow, but well acted and not your run of the mill plot or ending. Dark and brooding instead of inspiring.

I had put off seeing this film, but I actually found it to be MUCH more interesting than the trailers led had me to expect.

This was engaging for about 2/3 of the movie. Then it became negative and silly in our opinion. I think however, that quite a few people will probably enjoy it.
One big plus is that it is an unusual story and initially very engaging.

5) “The Words” spoke to me about mistakes, redemption, reality and perception. Quite a good cast, a well-written plot and always a question of where's reality? Were talents wasted, or missed? Were dreams too real, too enticing, too…

I didn't really like this movie. The only parts I did like were of the old man, and when he was younger - the rest could have been left out and I would have liked it a lot more. It took me 2 days to watch this, 30 minutes into it I fell…

I liked this film. Interesting storyline. I liked the story within a story concept as well and how it all came together. I wanted to see more of the story at the end though. I guess that is a good thing.

An worthwhile movie though I thought Jeremy Irons was a bit hammy, could not master an American accent, and looked ridiculously young for a guy supposed to have been 18 in 1944.. What was interesting was the thoughts the narrative…

This film is very odd & slow paced, with a horrible “unfinished” ending. My daughter and I looked at each other and at the same time said, “This is it? This is how it ends? Really?”

Although I'd prefer a different ending, the story was enjoyable, gripping, and beautifully produced. Bradley Cooper was marvelous in his role, as was Ben Barnes. I enjoyed the contrasting stories of the old writer, remembering his past,…
